1. Provider and Scope
This policy applies to NotesMaster (the "App"), provided by HakutakuTech, the provider identified as the developer on the App's App Store or Google Play listing ("we," "us," or "our").
Support inquiries about the App are also subject to the privacy policy of the email service or other service used to contact us. Information independently handled by the App Store, Google Play, advertising providers, or other third-party services is subject to the privacy policies and terms of those providers.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The App stores the following information on your device to provide its features and preserve your usage state. This information is not transmitted to a server operated by us. For communications with third-party advertising and in-app purchase services, please see Sections 3 and 4.
- Settings such as note-name display, time limit, and number of questions
- Play history and best scores, including play date and time, mode, score, rank, number of correct answers, accuracy, and time limit
- Free-play usage date, completed rewarded-ad views, remaining plays, and whether a Premium prompt has been shown
- Premium purchase status, verification date and time, product ID, transaction ID or purchase token, and other information needed to verify and complete a purchase
The specific items stored may vary with the device operating system, App version, features used, and third-party service specifications.
3. Data Transmitted in Connection with Advertising
The App uses Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK) to deliver rewarded ads that users choose to watch, and the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK to manage consent and privacy choices based on region.
For ad delivery, ad measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, SDK quality and performance improvements, and the storage and application of consent choices, these SDKs may transmit the following information to Google LLC and advertising partners identified in the consent form:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate the device's general location
- Device or App identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID, App Set ID, a device advertising identifier, or other app- or developer-bounded identifiers
- App interactions such as launches, taps, ad or video impressions, and views
- Information about advertisements shown
- Diagnostic and performance information such as launch time, hang rate, energy usage, and crash logs
- Advertising consent and privacy-choice information
The information actually handled depends on the device operating system, App and SDK versions, advertising settings, region, user choices, and ads delivered. In regions where a UMP consent form is shown, the form identifies advertising partners and their purposes.
For more information about the recipients and their data practices, please review the following official resources:
4. In-App Purchases
Purchases and restoration of Premium features are processed through Apple Inc.'s App Store and StoreKit on iOS, and Google LLC's Google Play and Google Play Billing on Android. Each store handles store accounts, purchase history, payment information, and related data under its own privacy policy.
To verify purchase eligibility, provide purchased features, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and complete transactions, the App may receive from the relevant store and store on the device a product ID, transaction status, transaction ID or purchase token, transaction date and time, receipt, signed transaction information, or other verification data. We do not obtain payment-method information such as credit card or bank account numbers.
Refund eligibility and procedures are governed by the terms, policies, and processes of the store used for the purchase.
5. Purposes for Handling Information
Information handled by the App and third-party services is used for the following purposes:
- To provide App features such as training, saved settings, record display, and play-allowance management
- To deliver rewarded ads, measure ads, and prevent fraud
- To present privacy choices appropriate to the user's region and store and apply those choices
- To purchase and restore Premium features, verify entitlements, and complete transactions
- To diagnose failures, improve performance, and maintain safety
- To comply with laws, store rules, and the legitimate exercise of rights by us or third parties
- To respond to inquiries, investigate issues, and maintain support records
6. Third-Party Processing and International Transfers
Information transmitted externally may be processed by Google, Apple, and advertising partners identified in the consent form in Japan, the United States, or other countries and regions where they maintain facilities or operations. Each provider's processing is governed by its privacy policy and applicable law.
When selecting and configuring third-party services, we endeavor to review the available security and privacy controls and limit use of those services to what is necessary to provide the App.
7. Retention and Deletion
Settings, usage state, and purchase-verification information stored on the device are retained while you use the App or for as long as needed to provide the relevant feature. The "Delete Records" option in Settings deletes play history and best scores.
Information stored locally by the App can generally be removed from the device by uninstalling the App or clearing its app data through the operating system. Operating-system backups, device-to-device transfers, or similar mechanisms may retain data outside the device or restore it after reinstallation.
Information you voluntarily provide in a support inquiry, such as your email address, message, device, operating system, or App version, is retained for as long as needed to respond, investigate the issue, and maintain support records. To request deletion, use the contact details in Section 12. We will review the request to the extent possible, except where retention is required by law or for a legitimate business reason.
Information obtained by Google, Apple, or advertising partners is retained and deleted under each provider's policies. We cannot directly delete information controlled by those third parties from within the App. To exercise rights concerning such information, use the relevant provider's privacy controls or support channels, or contact us as described in Section 12.
8. Your Choices
You can review or change advertising choices through a UMP form shown based on your region or consent status and, where available, through "Privacy Settings" in the App's Settings screen. Available options and whether a form is shown may vary by region, device, and advertising configuration.
On Android, you can reset or delete the advertising ID in the device's privacy settings.
The current iOS version does not request permission to access the IDFA under App Tracking Transparency (ATT). If we use it in the future, the App will explain the purpose and request operating system permission, and we will update this policy and our App Store disclosure.
9. Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not provide its own account registration or sign-in. Through the App, we do not collect names, email addresses, precise location, contacts, photos, health information, or audio from the microphone. We also do not use a proprietary analytics or crash reporting service.
However, as described in Section 3, advertising SDKs may handle a general location inferred from an IP address, interaction information, diagnostic information, and related data. If you contact support, we handle the sender's email address, inquiry, and any information voluntarily provided for the purposes described in Section 5.
10. Use by Minors
Minors should use the App with consent from a parent or legal guardian where appropriate. The App is not intended for us to directly collect personal information from users below the age at which parental consent is required by applicable law.
Parents and legal guardians should review this policy, advertising, in-app purchases, and the relevant device and store settings, and manage them as appropriate.
11. Security
We limit the information handled to what is needed and take reasonable security measures, including keeping the SDKs used by the App up to date, to help prevent unauthorized disclosure, loss, or damage. According to Google's published documentation, data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS. However, no method of communication, device, software, or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We may revise this policy in response to changes in the App's features, third-party services, or applicable laws. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "last updated" date. For material changes, we will provide notice on the product website or in the App and request consent again where required.
