1. Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how HakutakuTech (the “Provider”) handles information in connection with the OtoMaster application (the “App”).
The App does not include a user-account registration feature independently managed by the Provider. App settings and detailed play records are generally stored on the user’s device.
However, some usage and device information may be sent to third-party services to provide and improve the App, deliver advertising, and process in-app purchases.
2. Information We Handle and Purposes of Use
The App handles the following information.
Information stored on the device
App settings, play records, results, available-play allowances, the status of purchased features, and similar information are stored on the device and used to provide App features, maintain settings, and display records.
Usage and diagnostic information
We collect information including App usage, summaries of play results, App and device identifiers, IP address, device type, operating system, App version, crash or error details, and performance information such as App launch time and hangs. This information is used to understand usage, improve features, investigate issues, and prevent misuse. An IP address may be used to estimate the device’s approximate location. This information, including performance information, may be handled by third-party services in association with a user or device.
Detailed play history and individual answers are not sent externally for usage analytics.
Advertising information
Device and App identifiers, ad impressions, views and interactions, user choices, and similar information are used to load and deliver ads, measure effectiveness, prevent fraud, and manage privacy settings.
The ads displayed in the App are rewarded ads that users choose to watch voluntarily.
Purchase information
Information about purchased products and purchase status is used for in-app purchases, enabling purchased features, restoring purchases, and preventing misuse.
Credit card numbers, bank account details, and other payment-method information are handled directly by Apple or Google and are not obtained by the Provider.
Inquiry information
If a user contacts the Provider, the user’s email address, inquiry, and any information voluntarily provided are used to respond and investigate issues.
As part of its functionality, the App does not request names, addresses, precise location, contacts, photos, videos, or microphone audio.
Depending on applicable law, the Provider handles information on the basis of its legitimate interests in providing the App and purchase features, improving services, and operating safely; user consent; or compliance with legal obligations.
3. Use of Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, and information may be sent from the user’s device to each service provider.
Google Analytics for Firebase (Google LLC)
App and device identifiers, device information, operating system, App version, and usage information may be sent to analyze usage and improve the App. On iOS, Analytics is enabled only after the privacy flow is complete and the conditions based on ATT authorization status, Google Consent Mode, and other applicable consent requirements are met. If the user does not authorize tracking through ATT, Analytics is disabled on iOS.
Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC)
App and device identifiers, device information, operating system, App version, and crash or error information are sent to investigate issues and improve quality.
Google AdMob (Google LLC and advertising partners published by Google)
Device and App identifiers, IP address, ad impressions, views and interactions, and user choices are sent to deliver ads, measure effectiveness, prevent fraud, and manage privacy settings. Advertising identifiers such as the IDFA may be used when available based on the user’s choices, OS authorization status, and applicable law. If the user does not authorize tracking through ATT, the IDFA is not used in ad requests.
The App also uses app-store services provided by Apple or Google for in-app purchases, payment processing, and purchase restoration.
For current information about each provider’s handling of information and advertising partners, please review the privacy policies and other materials published by Google and Apple.
Information sent may be handled in Japan, the United States, or other countries or regions where each provider or its contractors operates.
The Provider does not sell user information. We do not disclose collected information to third parties except as required by law, with user consent, or when using third-party services for the purposes described in this policy.
4. Advertising and Tracking Consent and Choices
The App uses Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent or choices concerning advertising and the related handling of information, depending on the user’s region and applicable law.
On iOS, where authorization through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) is required, a UMP message explaining the use of the IDFA may be followed by the ATT system prompt. Under ATT, tracking means linking user or device information collected from the App with information collected from other companies’ apps or websites for targeted advertising or advertising measurement. The App performs this tracking only when the necessary consent and ATT authorization have been obtained.
If the user does not authorize tracking through ATT, the App does not track the user across other companies’ apps or websites and does not use the IDFA in ad requests. The user can still use the App and view rewarded ads when they are available.
Depending on the user’s region, consent status, device settings, and other conditions, personalized, non-personalized, or limited ads may be displayed, or ads may not be displayed.
If privacy settings are displayed in the App, users can review or change their choices there.
5. Retention and Deletion
Play records and results stored on the device can be deleted from the App’s Settings screen.
Other on-device information is normally deleted by uninstalling the App or clearing its app data through the operating system.
Information sent to third-party services is retained only for the retention period configured by the Provider, the period required by the specifications of each service, or the period necessary to fulfill its purpose. It is deleted or otherwise processed in accordance with each service’s policies.
Information provided through an inquiry is retained only for the period necessary to respond to the inquiry and address related issues.
Under applicable law, users may have the right to request access to, correction or deletion of, restriction of the use of, or object to the handling of information held about them by the Provider, as well as withdraw consent or make other requests. To do so, please contact the inquiry address provided in this policy.
Because the App does not have user accounts, the Provider may be unable to individually identify, disclose, or delete information that cannot be associated with a particular user.
6. Use by Minors
The App is not designed or offered for children and is intended for general users.
Minors should use the App with consent from a parent or legal guardian where required by the laws of their country or region of residence.
7. Security
The Provider limits the information handled to what is necessary and takes reasonable security measures, including restricting access to third-party services, protecting communications, and appropriately managing and updating third-party SDKs.
8. Changes to This Policy
The Provider may change this policy in response to changes in laws, third-party services, or App features.
Changes will be posted on this page. If there are material changes to the purposes or handling of information, notice will be provided in the App or on the product website where appropriate.
